Thankyou for coming to look at my website. In looking through this website I hope you can get a good idea about the kind of work that I do. I work with a full range of experiences from depression, anxiety, grief, relational breakdown to the meaningful formation of new and challenging opportunities in personal or work life. Essentially my work is about connecting with people in a thoughtful, intentional way to effect real change. I prioritize the formation of a strong therapeutic relationship with clients because it is known to be the thing that makes a difference in therapeutic outcomes. I work to engage with you in order to achieve the peace, restoration, healing as well as the achievements that are important to you. I invite you to contact me if you would like to talk about what it is that you are wanting to do. As an overview, I am a Registered Psychologist in Vancouver, BC (#2053). I work with individuals, couples and families in my private practice.
As an aside, Pam Patterson Psychotherapy is my ‘brand’ name. The letter ‘P’ seems to have had a prominent presence in my career and you’ll find it in my email and throughout my website. I do warmly refer to my practice as “P8” signifying “Professor Pamela Patterson Psychologist in Private Practice doing Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy” (among other approaches!).
